All staff are DBS Checked and safe recruitment checks are completed. Silver Lining support those with and without experience in the sector and their qualifications, we work with the SCW requirements; All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF) and Level 3 in Children and Young People. We strongly promote progression opportunities and personal development.

Home Manager

SLC is the first place I have worked in a while where I have felt fully supported and have been given the chance to develop and prove myself.

Senior Support Worker

I have worked at Ty-Alban since it’s opened. I feel I have been given appropriate training with room to learn and progress. I feel supported by my manager and team.

Support Worker

I am enjoying my time in Ty-Alban and getting to know the young people here. I feel supported in everything I do and if I need any further support, I know my manager will support me the best she can. 

 

All staff within Silver Lining Care Limited are trained in ‘Defusion’. This training provides staff with the knowledge and tools to separate the emotion of a young person and the provoking stimulus from an undesirable emotional reaction. SLC use ‘Defusion’ in a therapeutic way in order to manage behaviour and heightened emotions in a more positive approach; Staff will receive this training annually to ensure that they are up to date and in line with policy.
